Breast Uplift & Breast Reduction

Determined by the initial situation of the breast these are 2 different surgery types following up similar procedures.

A Breast Uplift (Mastopexy) is the surgically procedure for raising sagging breasts upon the chest of the woman, by changing and modifying the size, contour, and elevation of the breasts. This surgery can never be indicated by medical reason; it is for aesthetic reasons always.

A Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammoplasty) is the surgically procedure to correct oversized breasts. Women who have large breasts may experience a variety of problems from the weight and size of their breasts, such as back, neck, and shoulder pain, and skin irritation. So a breast reduction is usually performed for relief of these symptoms rather than to enhance the appearance of the breasts; this means a breast reduction is most likely indicated by medical reasons.

The post-operational process including recovery and expectable operative consequences varies as well as the process may show differences in general and/or detail from patient to patient. The general recovery for most patients of good health and expectable operative consequences are listed as follows. Please notice that the general recovery and/or expectable operative consequences are not limited to the mentioned below.

Mild to moderate pain, drainage from the incisions; swelling; soreness and numbness.

To fully recover; takes 2 to 6 weeks. 2 to 3 weeks off from work may be necessary depending on the type of job.

This surgery type typically is performed as an outpatient procedure under general anaesthesia. Depending on the condition of the patient a 1 night overstay at the hospital is may required for monitoring the first hours after the surgery.

You should schedule at least 6 days starting from the day of surgery before returning to your home country.
